30 September 2026 · your last day to surcharge

The surcharge is gone.
The slow payers aren't.

30 September is the last day you can pass the card fee on. After that you absorb it, on every eftpos, Visa and Mastercard payment you take. getpaid.link makes that fee earn something back — a payment link on your own domain, the amount checked against the live invoice at the moment of payment, and and the money landing in your own bank account — not held by a processor first.

What actually changes after 30 September

The reform is real and it is close. What it does not do is make anyone pay their invoice faster.

One

You can't surcharge

From 1 October, surcharges on eftpos, Visa and Mastercard debit and credit are banned.

Two

The fee lands on you

Whatever you were passing on now comes out of margin — about $11.50 on every $1,000 you take by card, at a typical bank rate. What used to be the customer's problem is now a line in your P&L.

Three

Nothing else got easier

The invoice still goes out. The customer still pays whenever they feel like it. Someone still matches the deposit to the invoice by hand at month end.

How it works

Three steps, and you only do the first one

1

Invoice exactly as you do now

No new bookkeeping, no export, no second system to keep in step. Send the invoice however you send it today — the pay link rides along with it.

2

Your customer pays on your domain

pay.yourbusiness.com.au — your logo, your colours, your name in the address bar. Card details go straight to the payment gateway; they never touch your systems, or ours.

3

Your books reconcile themselves

The payment is recorded against the invoice the moment it clears. No CSV, no manual matching, no month-end archaeology working out which deposit was which.

The one rule

The amount always comes from your ledger.

Not from the link. Not from the page. Not from anything the customer's browser sends us. When a payment link is opened we ask your accounting system what is owed right then, and that is the only number we will charge. A tampered link cannot overcharge your customer. A stale one cannot undercharge you.

Step one
Customer opens the link
It carries an invoice reference and nothing else of consequence
Step two
We ask your ledger what is owed
Server-side, at that moment, against the live invoice
Step three
That number is charged
Once. A repeated submission cannot take a second payment
Settlement

Nobody stands between you and your money

The merchant facility is yours. Card payments settle from your own bank into your own account, on whatever terms you have with them. getpaid.link never touches the money and never holds a balance — so it can never sit on your funds, hold a reserve against them, or decide you have to wait.

A processor

Takes the payment, then pays you out

Typically two business days — four when a weekend gets in the way. It holds your money in the meantime, and it decides when the wait ends.

Your own facility

The money goes where it was always going

Your bank settles on your terms — the majors offer same day, seven days a week, if you have it switched on. The Friday job does not wait until Tuesday.

White label

Your customer never finds out we exist

The domain is yours. The header is yours. The receipt has your trading name on it and your ABN at the bottom. We appear once, in grey, at the foot of the page — and that is the whole of our presence.

Which matters more than it sounds. A customer who lands on a payment page branded by a company they have never heard of is a customer who picks up the phone to check it is not a scam, and pays a fortnight later than they would have.

Pricing

One price, paid once a year.

The whole cost
$150
a month, billed annually
No setup fee, nothing per transaction. One invoice a year, one line in your books — and one price whatever you invoice, because we don't charge more when you have a good month.
Setting you up
Your own pay domain, your branding, and the connections to your books and your bank* — set up for you and tested end to end before anyone sends it to a customer. That work is included in the price, not billed on top.
Book a demo
Everything included
Your own pay subdomain · unlimited invoices and payment links · settlement into your own bank account · automatic reconciliation · branded receipts
The two things we don't bill you for, so you know where they land. Card processing is charged by your own bank, at your own rate — we never touch it and never mark it up. And your accounting software charges about $10 a month for the connection, billed inside your own account. That is the whole cost. There is nothing else.
* Whether we can connect to your bank depends on the payment gateway they offer, not every bank has one. We will check yours and tell you where you stand before you commit to anything.
